  The USS Akron/Macon had 12 gas cells, whereas the Hindenburg, I believe, had 18. I volunteer for the Monoffett Field Historical Society and they have LOTS of pictures of the Macon, including a lot of the interior. Please feel free to visit &amp; check them out.
