Smithsonian Hindenburg Propeller

A propeller fragment labeled as coming from the Hindenburg, and owned by the National Air and Space Museum, is on display at the Castle building of the Smithsonian Institution.

We are further investigating this object in an attempt to confirm its origins.  Additional information will be posted when our investigation is concluded.

Hello,

I am doing a school exhibit on the Hindenburg. I live near Washington DC. I was wondering if you know whether this propeller fragment is still at the Castle building. My dad said he would bring me if it’s still there. Thank you.
