Lockheed Martin Signs Hybrid Airship Contract

According to a report in Aviation Week and a press release, Lockheed Martin has entered a contract with Aviation Capital Enterprises, Inc. of Alberta, Canada, to develop, certify and produce a series of “SkyTug” commercial cargo airships derived from the P-791 hybrid demonstrator seen in this 2006 video:

  1. Is this a true zeppelin or a hybrid with some sort of lift fans on the bottom? It seems like a rough landing with it swaying and bouncing, though.
